Why I chose this book: It was the ALL IOWA READS book selection for 2010. And I had the opportunity to meet the author at the Iowa Library Association conference that year.
Why I read it to the end: This book was not a typical read for me. It was very lyrical. But I didn't want to sound stupid when speaking to Mr. Rhodes, so I finished it.
